FAQs

Frequently asked questions about membership, matchdays and accessibility.

Can my carer or personal assistant get a ticket?

Luton Town decides the rules for carer and personal assistant tickets, not LTDSA. Ask the ticket office when you book. Check what proof it asks for, if any.

Do I need a Nimbus Access Card?

You do not need an Access Card to join LTDSA. You do not need any other proof of disability either. For accessible or concession tickets, Luton Town decides what proof it asks for, if any. Ask the ticket office before you pay for a card from another company.

How do I get accessible tickets for an away match?

The Luton Town ticket office usually arranges accessible tickets for away matches. It talks to the home club for you. Ask well before the match, because away grounds have few wheelchair spaces and they go fast. Our matchday guides show what each ground has for disabled away fans.

Who can I contact for ticketing issues?

For ticket problems, contact the Luton Town ticket office. If you need help with access needs for your ticket, contact the club's Disability Liaison Officer (DLO).

Can I be dropped off close to the ground?

Yes, though the streets around the ground are closed to traffic close to kick-off. Arrive early, and check the club guide for the current drop-off arrangements.

Is there a sensory room?

Yes, it is called the Hatters Hideout. It is a calmer space for fans who find the crowd and noise too much. You need to book it with the club before the match.

How do I buy an accessible ticket?

Contact the Luton Town ticket office. Do not book online. Tell them what you need: a wheelchair space, an easy-access seat, or a seat with your personal assistant. Book as early as you can, because there are not many spaces.

Can I bring my assistance dog?

Yes, assistance dogs are welcome. Tell the ticket office when you book so they can seat you somewhere with room for your dog.

Is membership free?

Yes. LTDSA membership is free. Anyone who supports our aims can join, including disabled fans and their family, friends and allies.

Is there accessible parking at the ground?

There is very little parking near Kenilworth Road. LTDSA can help with some disabled parking for home matches, but we cannot promise you a space. Email parking@ltdsa.co.uk as early as you can. Also check the club's latest matchday accessibility guide.

What is the LTDSA?

LTDSA is the Luton Town Disabled Supporters Association. It is run by volunteers and is separate from the club. We speak up for disabled fans and support them. We work with the club to make Kenilworth Road easier for disabled fans to use. We follow the social model of disability: it is barriers, not impairments, that disable people.

Is there commentary for blind and partially sighted supporters?

Yes. Hatters Vision is live commentary for fans who are blind or partially sighted. You listen through a headset. Ask the ticket office or a steward for one.

How do I become a member of LTDSA?

Fill in the free membership form on this website. You can join if you are a disabled Luton Town fan, a carer or family member, or any other fan who supports our work. You cannot join LTDSA through the Luton Town ticket office.

Do I have to prove I am disabled to join?

No. You do not need to prove you are disabled to join, and our form does not ask about disability. The club's ticket office may ask for proof when you book accessible or concession tickets. That is separate from LTDSA.

What will accessibility be like at the new Power Court stadium?

The approved plans promise 165 wheelchair spaces and 165 easy-access seats. They also promise accessible toilets, Changing Places toilets and a sensory room. The club aims to play the first match there at the start of the 2028/29 season. Many details are still to be decided, and LTDSA is working with the club on them. Tell us if there is something you want us to raise.

When is the AGM?

We hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) once every calendar year. The Secretary sends out the notice and the planned agenda at least 30 days before. All LTDSA members can come and vote. Standing for the committee has extra rules. You must be an LTDSA member, and normally have been one for at least six months. You need two members to back you: one to propose you and one to second you. Your nomination must reach the Secretary in writing at least 14 days before the meeting. The meeting can only go ahead if at least 10 members are there, or 5% of all members if that is more.

Who is the club's Disability Liaison Officer (DLO)?

Luton Town's Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) is Lisa McEvoy. Contact the DLO about matchday access, accessible tickets or the stadium at disability@lutontown.co.uk or 01582 411622. LTDSA can also help: email info@ltdsa.co.uk.

How do I raise a concern or complaint?

Contact us at info@ltdsa.co.uk or 07424 316746. You can also read our Complaints Policy. If your concern is about the club's matchday services, the best person to tell is the club's Disability Liaison Officer (DLO). We can help you do this.

Why can I not see any wheelchair spaces when I book online?

You cannot book accessible tickets, including wheelchair spaces, on the online seat map. The ticket office handles them, so the spaces may look taken even when they are free. Contact the ticket office to book. If they tell you there are none left, please let us know. We keep a record of this.

Does the LTDSA help with away travel?

LTDSA does not run or book away travel. We help disabled fans go to away matches by sharing information. Where we can, we help members find accessible options. Book match tickets and any official club travel through Luton Town or the travel company.

What accessibility can I expect at Kenilworth Road?

We work with the club towards the Accessible Stadia standard. This covers: Wheelchair viewing that is sheltered and has a clear view. Audio described commentary for blind and partially sighted fans, and room for guide dogs. A hearing loop or text service for deaf fans and fans with hearing loss. Accessible seats for disabled fans who can walk. Information in other formats if you ask. Disability equality training for staff and stewards.

What does membership give me?

Membership gives you a say on issues for disabled fans, separate from the club. You get news from LTDSA, chances to speak up at meetings, and help to raise access problems. Match tickets, ticket discounts, companion tickets and accessible seats come from Luton Town, not LTDSA.

How is the LTDSA run?

LTDSA is run by a committee of up to 14 volunteers. Our members elect them, and we are independent of the club. Our Constitution sets out these officer roles: Chair Deputy Chair Secretary Media Officer Membership Secretary Parking Officer and Website Lead Up to seven other committee members support them. Luton Town names its Disability Liaison Officer and a senior manager as permanent committee members. This means the club is always there and keeps us up to date on access and disability policy. Under our Constitution, they do not vote. When there is a vote, at least two elected LTDSA committee members must be there for every club official. The Chair only votes to break a tie. The full rules…

How can I join the committee?

We welcome volunteers. Most committee members are elected by LTDSA members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). To stand for election, you must be an LTDSA member. You should normally have been one for at least six months before you are nominated. You need two members to back you: one to propose you and one to second you. Your nomination must reach the Secretary in writing at least 14 days before the AGM. The committee can also bring people in between AGMs. This is called co-opting. It fills a gap or adds skills, usually through our Recruitment Sub-Committee. You do not need to be a member to be co-opted. But you must join before the next AGM, and stand for election if you want to stay.…

How is my personal data handled?

We only keep what we need to run your membership: your name, your contact details, your membership type, and an emergency contact if you choose to give one. Our membership form does not ask about disability. We do not ask you to describe a condition, list your access needs or give any proof. We do not store a yes or no answer about whether you see yourself as disabled. If we ever want to understand our members' access needs as a group, we will ask in a separate survey that does not ask your name. The Membership Secretary keeps your contact details only to run LTDSA. We do not share them with anyone outside LTDSA unless you agree. Asking the club for accessible tickets is separate. The club…
